RINER — It’s unusual for a pitcher to pitch a complete game, but Josh Givens did just that on April 12 when Auburn notched a 7-0 shutout over the Galax Maroon Tide in a Mountain Empire District game played in Riner.
Givens struck out 14 batters for the Eagles (9-1), allowed only one hit and walked two.
